Hi, I’m Gianna - and if this page has felt a little quiet recently, you are not imagining it.
Over the winter, life became quite hectic, and my priorities shifted for the better, leading to a temporary pause in my blog. However, recently, I've felt a strong urge to return to writing—an urge that feels both familiar and exciting. I thought the best way to reintroduce myself (or greet you for the first time) is by emphasizing a core aspect of who I am and the main reason for starting this blog.
Disney.
Disney has been the one constant throughout the various phases, ages, and versions of my life. It embodies nostalgia, comfort, creativity, storytelling, and a touch of magic, all neatly tied together in a Mickey-shaped bow. So, if you're new or need a reminder, here's a bit about me... the Disney version.
A few things to know about me:
I am someone who loves stories—those that evoke emotions and stay with you well after they're finished. I am sentimental and nostalgic, and I strongly believe in the comfort of returning to the things you love dearly.
For me, Disney is one of those special things. Whether it's a movie I've watched countless times, a song that immediately transports me back to the parks or a memorable moment in my life, Disney has always felt like home.
I couldn't think of a better way to kick off the blog this year than by sharing some of my favorite Disney picks, giving you a chance to get to know me better before we dive back into park updates, Disney news, and must-see attractions and activities.

Disney music deserves its own category because honestly, it is top tier:
“You’ll Be In my Heart” (Tarzan) (This was the song I danced with my father to at my wedding, so it will always be my favorite.)

“I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” (Hercules)
“I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)” (The Jungle Book)
“Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” (Lilo & Stitch)
My Favorite Disney Park Rides
There's truly nothing quite like the Disney parks—the feelings, the scents, the magic. While I don't truly dislike any ride, these are the ones I absolutely love:
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT)
Jungle Cruise (Magic Kingdom)
Haunted Mansion (Magic Kingdom)
Toy Story Mania! (Hollywood Studios)
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios) (Closing March 1 for retheme)
My Favorite Disney Characters
This might be the most challenging list to refine, but these are the ones I've loved since childhood and still do today:
Minnie Mouse (A classic and an icon!)
Cinderella
Buzz Lightyear
Belle & Ariel are going together here because I simply cannot choose
Winnie the Pooh
Honorable Mention to Hades (The MOST underrated Disney Villain!)
My Favorite Disney Restaurants
Since my blog primarily focuses on the parks, I couldn't leave out my favorite dining spots! I limited it to park restaurants only; otherwise, this list would be endless:
Tucker House Restaurant (Animal Kingdom)
Be Our Guest Restaurant (Magic Kingdom) (This one gets many mixed reviews, but this was the first meal I shared with my husband right after we got engaged and again on our Honeymoon after our wedding, so it holds a very special place in my heart.)
The Hollywood Brown Derby (Hollywood Studios)
Teppan Edo (EPCOT)
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano (Hollywood Studios) (Although it no longer exists, it deserves a mention as it was my family’s favorite place)
What’s Next
This blog has always been a place for the things I love most about Disney: the stories, the joy, and the moments worth sharing. Coming back to this blog feels like reopening my favorite book and remembering why you loved it in the first place.
