You've likely heard of Space Mountain and are familiar with Toy Story Mania. You might even be aware of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Disney World is packed with amazing attractions, but it's not just about the rides! Let's talk about the shows!

One of my favorite aspects of Disney is the shows they present for park visitors. I’m not referring to the parades or the 3D screen experiences. I mean the full-scale productions that involve a complete team of technicians, producers, directors, and actors collaboratively creating magic. These Disney shows are not only a fantastic way to take a break from the sun for 15-30 minutes, but they also offer a delightful return to childhood. Seeing the set, admiring the costumes, listening to the music, and watching the magic unfold is truly an art. Here are the productions I consider a must-see every time I visit Main Street:

Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage | Hollywood Studios

A tale as old as time. Located on Sunset Boulevard, this timeless tale is vividly brought to life. Experience a live Broadway-style production where an amazing cast of performers guides you through the beloved story with both acting and singing the tunes you know and love so well.

The Festival of the Lion King | Animal Kingdom

A production that touches me deeply each time. Located in Africa, the Harambe Theater hosts one of the most incredible shows in the parks. You can experience the songs and tales from The Lion King in this Broadway-style performance featuring live singers, fire dancers, acrobats, stilt walkers, and more.

Luminous: The Symphony of Us | Epcot

I've always had a profound appreciation for the fireworks at Epcot. While most people associate Disney fireworks with the Magic Kingdom, Luminous is a true masterpiece. Located in the World Showcase Lagoon, this fireworks display offers a fantastic experience of classic Disney tunes in multiple languages, enhanced by water features, vibrant lighting, screen effects, and, naturally, the dazzling fireworks in the sky!

Happily Ever After | Magic Kingdom

When I mentioned Luminous earlier, I didn't mean to imply that I don't value the Magic Kingdom firework display. "Happily Ever After" holds a special place in my heart and is undoubtedly my favorite firework show in the parks. Set at Cinderella Castle, this display embodies everything Disney represents. It beautifully conveys the diverse stories that have influenced our lives, both as children and adults, through its music, stunning visual effects, and, most importantly, its magic. The finale, with Tinker Bell soaring from Cinderella Castle over the crowd, is the perfect finishing touch to this outstanding production.

Fantasmic! | Hollywood Studios

If I could only watch one show during my visit, this would be it. It is undoubtedly my favorite show in all of Disney World. Words cannot capture the sheer brilliance of this production. Fantasmic! completely embodies the essence of Disney magic. With water projection screens, live characters, captivating choreography, special effects, stunts, fireworks, riverboats, and more, this show fills viewers with so much joy as they dive deep into Mickey's dreams. Situated down a long path beside the Tower of Terror, there's a reason this amphitheater is packed every night. If you want to truly experience Disney, this show is a must.

Honorable mentions:

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular | Hollywood Studios

Although I don't watch this show every time I visit, it never fails to impress when I do. Hollywood Studios aims to immerse you in the world of movies. This show offers a fantastic glimpse behind the scenes of how action-packed film sequences with challenging stunts and effects are brought to life. Featuring real stunt doubles from Hollywood films, the show demonstrates the creation of three thrilling scenes from the Indiana Jones movies (including the famous giant rock!) with numerous special effects and directors filming the scenes live before your eyes.

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration | Hollywood Studios

Many might disagree with me on this, but I genuinely find this show incredibly entertaining. Although it's a sing-along to your favorite Frozen songs, it's not just the singing that captivates me. The show is hosted by the "Royal Historians of Arendelle," Erik and Aria, who humorously narrate the Frozen story between the musical numbers alongside Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf. They cleverly place jokes to keep the adults in the theater just as amused. Overall, it's a fantastic experience to enjoy with friends and family! And, if you're lucky, Elsa may even make it snow for you!

Turtle Talk with Crush | Epcot

The buzz on social media isn't just another trend. Turtle Talk has always been legendary! Although it's not a large-scale production, this show consistently makes me laugh. Utilizing screen technology, a performer voices Crush, engaging with you live from the big blue world! You can inquire about his life, and he’ll ask about yours. Crush's personality shines through in these interactions, providing a fantastic 15-minute comedic break during your visit to Epcot.

When visiting Walt Disney World, you'll encounter numerous amazing productions. The ones highlighted above, especially the top five, are the ones I personally adore every single time I watch them. They remind me of why I have such a love and passion for Disney. I'm sure you'll enjoy them as well during your next visit!
